While Disney Plus Day did not bring any news for a Star Wars Sequel Trilogy show, Kathleen Kennedy recently left the door open for the Sequel Trilogy characters return:
“Certainly, those are not characters we’re going to forget,” teased Kennedy of that third generation of Star Wars heroes. “They will live on, and those are conversations that are going on with the creative team as well.”
Kennedy can tease this because the return of the Sequel Trilogy period and characters are not just inevitable but necessary.
